Amazon has been directing users to “dodgy boxes” – devices that receive pirated TV broadcasts via the internet – through localised online ads aimed at Irish people.

An Irish Independent investigation shows the retail giant bought targeted ads on Google for anyone who inputs the search “dodgy box Ireland”.
