Apple rolls out iOS 17.1: New features, security fixes and more

A month after rolling out iOS 17, Apple has got another important update for iPhones. iOS 17.1 is now available to download and brings a host of new features for iPhone users, including one big one for AirDrop.
New AirDrop feature
With iOS 17.1, users can AirDrop files, images, or anything even when you step out of range. Earlier, users had to be in a certain range to AirDrop files.Now, they can just do it over the internet and don't have to be in the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi range.
Music app features
Apple Music gets new features, including favourites being expanded to include songs, albums, and playlists. There is also a new cover art collection, which offers designs that change colours to reflect the music in your playlist. Furthermore, song suggestions appear at the bottom of every playlist, making it easy to add music to playlists.
Standby mode gets new options to control when the display turns off . This feature is available on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple has also fixed a number of security vulnerabilities in iOS 17.1. These vulnerabilities could have allowed attackers to take control of your device or steal your data. iOS 17.1 also includes a number of bug fixes. These fixes address issues such as battery life problems, performance issues, and app crashes. How to update to iOS 17.1
