ALBAWABA - Amid persistent problems, Amazon is gradually withdrawing the Just Walk Out feature from every Fresh store. Since its launch, the system, which watches buyers' choices using a network of cameras and sensors, has encountered difficulties.

Even though Amazon's stores don't have typical cashiers, rumour has it that more than a thousand human monitors in India evaluate transaction accuracy by looking at video feeds.

Just half of the US's Fresh retailers use Just Walk Out technology, a major obstacle to its widespread implementation. This is due to the expensive cost of equipment installation and maintenance.

Customers have expressed a variety of complaints with the system, from misplaced orders to delayed receipts, raising privacy concerns because biometric data is continuously collected by cameras and sensors.

Due to the company's acquisition of biometric data without sufficient notice, a class-action complaint alleging privacy infringement was filed.

Customers will no longer have to worry about equipment costs and technological difficulties related to operation, according to Amazon's decision to cease the Just Walk Out system.
