A recent tussle between Tesla and a bakery in California has finally been settled thanks to Elon Musk's intervention. Giving Pies, a bakery owned by Voahangy Rasetarinera in San Jose, California, had a bone to pick with Tesla over an unpaid bill. Here's what went wrong-Tesla placed a last-minute order for a whopping 4,000 mini pies from Giving Pies on Valentine's Day. Initially, it was for 2,000 pies, worth $6,000. But then, Tesla upped the order, only to later cancel it without paying a dime.

Rasetarinera wasn't too pleased about this. She vented her frustration on the bakery's Instagram account. After some media attention, Musk caught wind of the situation and vowed to fix things up.

“Tesla just paid the $2k that I was out of,”a frustrated Rasetarinera told The Guardian.” However, Musk reacted to her story on social media stating–“Just hearing about this. Will make things good with the bakery.”
And he did just that. Following Musk's promise, Tesla coughed up the $2,000 owed to the bakery.

Rasetarinera had some strong words about the ordeal. She criticised Tesla for putting convenience over accountability and highlighted the struggles faced by small businesses when dealing with big corporations.“To me, it was clear that Tesla’s corporate culture prioritised convenience over accountability, disregarding the livelihoods of small business owners like myself,” she said.

But every cloud has a silver lining. The bakery saw an outpouring of support from local customers and folks worldwide. In fact, hundreds of people lined up to buy pies from Giving Pies over the weekend. Rasetarinera couldn't be happier with the response. She thanked everyone for their support and took a moment to reflect on her journey as a business owner.“As I reflect on this ordeal, I am reminded of the resilience and determination that have propelled me forward as a black woman entrepreneur,” she said. “While Tesla’s actions may have caused temporary setbacks, they will not deter me from pursuing my passion and serving my community with integrity and pride.”

In the end, this little spat between Giving Pies and Tesla serves as a reminder of the power of speaking up and the importance of standing up for what's right. And with Musk's intervention, it's a win-win for everyone involved.
