Helen Of Troy Slips Over 6% In Pre-market After Downbeat In Q2 Profit, Revenue

Shares of Helen of Troy Ltd. (HELE) were trading down on Wednesday after the company reported a decline in earnings and revenue for the second-quarter.

HELE was trading down by 6.72 percent at $106 per share in the pre-market trade on the Nasdaq.

For the second-quarter, the company posted a net income of $27.38 million or $1.14 per share, lesser than $30.67 million or $1.28 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Excluding items, earnings were at $1.74 per share, compared with $2.27 per share a year ago.

Sales revenue for the quarter declined to $491.56 million from last year's $521.40 million.
