Brian O. Newman is set to leave his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of United Parcel Service, Inc. by June 1, 2024. A separation agreement will outline the terms of his departure, including a release of claims and protective covenants like non-solicitation and non-competition. He will receive severance consistent with the UPS Key Employee Severance Plan, including a cash payment, prorated incentives, vested stock units, and career counseling services. Additionally, Newman has a year to exercise vested stock options post-departure. In other company news, the Annual Meeting of Shareholders resulted in the election of all director nominees, approval of executive compensation, and ratification of the company’s accountants, while shareowner proposals on stock voting power, carbon-reduction reports, and diversity reporting did not pass.
