United Airlines is rolling out a new plan for passengers who prefer window seats.

In an internal memo, the company said it would change its boarding process so that economy class passengers who prefer a view will be allowed on the plane first.

The plan, known as WILMA, for window, middle and aisle, will save up to two minutes of boarding time.

Passengers in Group 4 will see the change first and United said multiple customers on the same economy reservation will be allowed to board their flight together.

The plan will be implemented on domestic flights and some international flights.

It will not affect first class and business class, according to the memo. There's also no change for the pre-boarding group that includes travelers with disabilities, unaccompanied minors, active-duty military and families traveling with children that are 2 years old or younger.

United is one of the many airlines that halted flights to Tel Aviv shortly after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7.
