LAHORE: Visa inaugurated its new office in Pakistan , aiming to strengthen its talent acquisition strategy and support the government’s digital commerce agenda, a statement said on Tuesday.
The new office space, designed around the needs of the staff, allows for a hybrid work environment and reflects Visa’s commitment to attracting and retaining key talent in the country.
Visa, the world’s largest payment network, said it had seen a 15 percent year-on-year growth in employee evolution in its offices in the North Africa, Levant and Pakistan (NALP) region.
The company also said it was working with local banks, businesses and fintechs to design and deliver the payment options that Pakistani consumers seek, as cash displacement in the region has accelerated in the last two years.
“As a network that works for everyone, everywhere, Visa’s mission is to drive digital commerce for the benefit of consumers, businesses, and the economy across Pakistan,” said Umar S. Khan, Visa Country Manager for Pakistan.
He added that the new office would enable Visa to collaborate with its clients and partners to develop and deploy efficient, convenient and secure processes for offline and online commerce.
