Aerospace States Association Holds 2023 Annual Meeting and Fourth State Aerospace Policy Summit

Colonel Nicole Mann, the first female Native American Astronaut in space, to be honored

ALEXANDRIA, VA / ACCESSWIRE / July 10, 2023 / Lt. Governor Dianne Primavera and the Aerospace States Association is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2023 Aerospace States Association Annual Meeting and 4th State Aerospace Policy Summit being held this week in Boulder, Colorado.

The four-day event brings together leaders from across the country to discuss policy and encourage new partnerships across the aerospace industry. Highlights will include a keynote speech from Colonel Nicole Mann, the first female Native American astronaut in space, who will be honored with this year's Thomas R. Hobson/Robert A. Davis, Jr. Distinguished Aerospace Service Award. She will be introduced by Arlando Teller, the first Assistant Secretary for Tribal Affairs for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Participants will also receive a tour of the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Space Command, and the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/U.S. Northern Command.

Governor Howie Morales of New Mexico, Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears of Virginia, and Lt. Governor Josh Tenorio of Guam as well as state legislators and Tribal leaders.
