AU bank ties up with Mastercard for debit card
Jaipur: AU Small Finance Bank announced its partnership with Mastercard, marking the official launch of Mastercard Debit Card on Wednesday.
This initiative is designed for the bank’s corporate salary customers. Uttam Tibrewal, executive director of AU bank, said, “In our pursuit of being a customer-centric bank, we believe in providing our customers with access to a whole range of benefits.The launch of the Mastercard Debit Card is a significant step in this direction.”

Prepaid cash cards to be launched
To simplify patient service, RMLIMS plans to introduce prepaid cash cards, eliminating long queues at payment counters. Patients currently have two options: cash and online payments. However, cash counters often have long queues as some patients find online payments inconvenient. The RBI has instructed banks to establish a SEWA dashboard to provide customers with up-to-date information on digital payment channels. The dashboard will include internet banking applications, mobile banking, and payment systems like RTGS, NEFT, and UPI. It aims to address service outages and improve system capacity management. Banks have been asked to inform the RBI whether a common platform or individual platforms should be established. The initiative will also provide greater oversight of IT systems outsourced to third-party vendors. Service outages have affected banks globally, leading to CEO replacements and temporary restrictions on digital business activities.
Directors siphon off 2.57cr bank money
Directors of a cooperative society in Junagadh committed a loan fraud of Rs 2.57 crore in the financial year 2022-23. The fraud was against the Junagadh Central Cooperative Bank. Complaints were filed against present and former directors of Shree Juni Dhari Gundali Seva Sahkari Limited. Accused individuals include Rohit Amarseda, Dhiru Thummar, Ramesh Bavisiya, and Ramesh Ramani. Ramani, a former manager, released excessive loans to 40 farmers, including 23 whose loans were not sanctioned.
