AMD, An Oil Fund At A Bargain, And A High-Flying Gold ETF On CNBC's 'Final Trades'

On CNBC’s "Halftime Report Final Trades," Joseph Terranova of Virtus Investment Partners named Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. AMD, saying it’s "purely a trade, nothing more." AMD reported earnings last week. "You had bad earnings and now you have good price action," he added.

According to Bloomberg, Microsoft, which is heavily invested in OpenAI's ChatGPT, is helping finance AMD's expansion into AI processors.

Benzinga's analyst ratings data shows a consensus Buy rating on AMD.

Liz Young of BNY Mellon Investment Management named SPDR Gold Shares GLD as her final trade. "I know it’s at all-time highs, I think it’s there for a reason," she added.

Gold futures traded slightly higher by 0.1% to $2,034.30 an ounce on Tuesday

Stephen Weiss of Short Hills Capital Partners picked United States Oil Fund, LP USO.

U.S. WTI crude oil futures traded lower by around 0.8% to $72.60 per barrel on Tuesday.

Price Action: AMD shares surged 5.8% to settle at $95.04 on Monday. SPDR Gold Shares gained 0.1%, while the United States Oil Fund rose 2% on Monday.
