Precious metals showed mixed trends in the Indian markets today. Gold is trading on the higher side of the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) while silver prices have recorded a dip on Tuesday, November 28.

Gold futures, maturing on December 5, 2023, stood at Rs 61,679 per 10 grams, after recording a marginal hike of Rs 93 or 0.15 per cent. The previous close was recorded at Rs 61,540.

Meanwhile, silver futures, due on December 5, 2023, witnessed a downfall of Rs 96 or 0.13 per cent and were retailing at Rs 74,852 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 74,806.

The price of gold varies for different regions in the country based on certain parameters such as the excise duty, making charges and the state taxes.

GOLD, SILVER PRICES IN INTERNATIONAL MARKET

Gold steadied after touching a six-month peak on Tuesday, as expectations of an end to the US Federal Reserve's interest rate hike cycle kept the dollar and bond yields under check, news agency Reuters reported.

According to the latest metal report, spot gold was little changed at $2,014.12 per ounce by 0412 GMT, after hitting its highest since May 16.

US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.1 per cent to $2,014.20 per ounce. Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.3 per cent to $24.55 per ounce.
