In a Form 4 filing after the close with the SEC, DISH Network (DISH) Director, James DeFranco, disclosed he bought 300,000 common shares 06/01/023 at $6 per share.
The value of the purchase was $1,800,000.
The development follows news after the close Friday that Palo Alto Network is replacing DISH in the S&P 500. DISH will move to the S&P SmallCap 600.
Shares of DISH also gained Friday on reports Amazon is in talks to offer low-cost or even free nationwide mobile phone service to Prime subscribers. Amazon responded to the report, saying it doesn't have plans to add wireless services at this time. DISH is seen as one of the key providers for a future wireless offering by Amazon.
