On a per-share basis, the Williamsville, New York-based company said it had net income of $1.53. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $1.54 per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.55 per share.
The energy company posted revenue of $717.3 million in the period.
