Hotels, hosps should take NOC from electrical safety dept

Prayagraj: The officials of fire department and electric safety directorate on Wednesday interacted with traders, hotel & hospital owners and briefed them about the importance of electric safety. Traders and owners of hotels, hospitals and educational institutes have also been appealed to obtain NOC from Directorate of Electrical Safety. Chief Fire Officer (Prayagraj) RK Pandey told TOI, “There are over 350 big and small buildings in the city and only 20-25% of them have got NOC while the rest are yet to take measures to seek NOC.” Authorities of the electric safety directorate have also appealed buildings owners to ensure all upgraded fire-fighting arrangements and go through an electrical safety audit.TNN
