Apple will improve the security of your iPhone with this new iOS 17.5 feature

Manzana offers a multitude of solutions to its clients to fix the iPhone that are broken, like the new repair service that allows you to use second-hand parts or the famous insurance policy called AppleCare. In both alternatives, users have to deactivate the ‘Find My’ function, in this way, the Cupertino company knows that they own the mobile phone and that it is not a lost or stolen device. However, with the arrival of iOS 17.5customers will no longer have to disable ‘Find My’ before sending an iPhone for repair thanks to the new ‘Repair Status’ mode.

According to the specialized newspaper 9to5Mac, this novelty will allow users confirm, with your Apple ID and password, that you are about to send your iPhone for repair. And, as a result, Apple technicians will know that the person owns the iPhone to proceed with the repair, without having to deactivate the ‘Stolen Device Protection’ and ‘Find My’ functions.

At the moment, ‘Repair status’ is Available to developers who have access to iOS 17.5 beta 4 and to activate it, they can enable the mode when they try to delete their iPhone through the ‘Find My’ app.
